This message is to follow up to our campus email hack experienced on August 25. Steps have been taken to remedy further attacks. If you see additional suspect messages, please report them to our Technology Administrator at firstname.lastname@example.org.
We will be changing the address that all bulk emails come from such as SchoolReach and PowerSchool. Please look for emails from email@example.com. This will be a legitimate address, however it will not be used as an account, making things easier for our user accounts. As always remain vigilant about potential spam and malware messages.
Staff will be encouraged to not use their personal addresses for bulk email distribution.
We apologize for the inconvenience these situations may cause and appreciate your understanding and reports!
We also encourage everyone to review account policies with their own email accounts. This will help keep everyone safe.
PASSWORD TIPS FROM GOOGLE:
How safe is your password?
The first step in protecting your online privacy is creating a safe password - i.e. one that a computer program or persistent individual won't easily be able to guess in a short period of time. To help you choose a secure password, we've created a feature that lets you know visually how safe your password is as soon as you create it.
