Dear Parents,

I am back to work at Saint Mary as of February 22nd.  First of all I want to thank all of the staff, parents and parishioners of Saint Mary for their support and condolences regarding the loss of my grand-daughter Maggie Sloan.  My family was amazed at the kindness of friends and family and these actions helped us through this tragic time.

I also want to thank Mrs. Mary Lou Cacioppo for her fine work over the last month.  Mrs. Cacioppo has been working closely with the board on next year’s budget, she has been visiting classrooms on a regular basis and is providing valuable feedback to Saint Mary teachers.

Considering the fine work Mrs. Cacioppo has accomplished and her engagement in a number of organizational  priorities, we have determined the best approach will be for Mrs. Cacioppo and myself to team for the remainder of the year.  We plan on splitting our supervisory time at Saint Mary.  One of us will be in residence at school every day and will be available to students, staff, and parents.  We work very well together and believe this approach will maximize our opportunity to address the needs of Saint Mary School until a permanent principal is appointed.

We look forward to a successful end of the school year.  Thanks to you for all of your ongoing support and commitment to Saint Mary School.

Yours in Christ,

Dr. Jack Sloan
